Monkey Mountain Madness

Phillips recalls how she inexplicably got off a bus in Missoula, Montana and met a man who claimed to be the caretaker of a millionaire's mountain wilderness retreat.

This is the story based upon Phillips journal of her first year there. It tells of her struggles to get along with a prickly character named Dick Lowe who was a descendent of the infamous Montana saloon keeper Rowdy Joe Lowe.
